Lauren Smith

My name is Lauren Smith, I am a 17 year old queer art student, and I am not yet sure how, but in my future I am going to make positive change in the world. Human rights are extremely important to me, and I want to figure out a way to incorporate my affinities for photography and filmography into my passions for the feminist and LGBTQ+ communities. I love to try new things and know that failure isn’t always life-ending, which came from many trial and errors and a lot of self doubt. As I grow older, I have been trying not to let my fears or anxieties prevent me from achieving my goals. Sometimes it can be difficult, but perseverance is a value close to my heart. I have joined the class of 2022 at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, and I am majoring in Justice Community and Leadership.
